I’ve distilled the most important elements of the Beauty Code System and The Science of Personal Color in Unlocking Your Beauty Code. Owning this new beauty book, a perfect makeup tutorial, you can determine your best color by the science of pure light. You can learn how to analyze your own face. You can see how to apply your makeup. You will become your own best makeup artist.
Your best makeup colors will be those colors that match your Beauty Code Color Collection. Beyond that, the best makeup and beauty training and tutorial is Part II of my new beauty book, Unlocking Your Beauty Code.
See the picture of the woman to the above and to the right. Where do your eyes focus? The focus is on the red color of her lipstick. Attention is drawn to the makeup, not to the woman. The Beauty Code Color Collections feature makeup that bring the attention where it belongs—the beauty of the woman herself. As shown in the picture above and to the left, makeup can bring out the beauty of a woman and bring the focus to her eyes. This is what the Beauty Code Color Collections offer.
Diane Smith – “All my life I had used very little makeup and wanted the natural look. I felt that too much makeup made me look gaudy, a painted lady of the world. However, when I started using more makeup the right way, I received so many compliments. People wanted to know what I had done. I had my hair cut at the same time. Most of the compliments were that I looked younger. This changes my attitude about myself and gave me more self-confidence. Now I feel bare without my makeup and realize it is an important part of feeling good about myself.”
Sheila Pickering – “I had a sister 3 years younger than myself who just knew how to dress and what colors to wear. She always looked so beautiful that I tried to copy her and wondered why I didn’t look as good as her. Then Marilyn Harris taught me the right color of makeup and how to apply it and the best colors for me, now I feel beautiful and know who I am for the first time in my life. All the Beauty Code products are wonderful. I have used them for many years now and the last time I went to my skin doctor he said, for being 68 years old, the skin on my face was great. He said that he could tell that whatever I used on my face was protecting it and I should be more careful and use it on my neck as well because he could tell where I quit applying it. Her skin care products were what I have used.”
Ray Beckham (PhD, PR for Pres Reagan) – “I really like Marilyn’s color system because I’ve found it works. Whenever I wear clothes in my colors I get good comments. When people say, ‘You really look good,’ I know why. When I wear something really out of my color range, people may compliment the shirt, or jacket but never me. The system makes it so much easier to go shopping. And, if I make the choice to go out of my colors, its an educated choice. Old friends would pass me and not recognize me. They later told me I looked ten years younger, more distinguished. It has changed my life.”
Judy Grow – “My colors are back! I love having access to those ‘Just perfect’ colors. I love the brushes and shadow applicators.”
Janet & Brooke Seamons (State Contest Winners Mother/Daughter Look Alike Contest) – “I was happy to know I didn’t need to wear more makeup, but just apply the right colors in the right areas and ways to enhance my appearance. After being very confused with the Seasons system, I can finally understand how color plays a major part in how we look and feel.”
Angela Caines – “I was so frustrated because I couldn’t trust anyone else and I couldn’t trust my own judgment. This whole concept is fantastic because you draped me first to see where I fit on the color wheel and then the makeup, hair color and clothes all work together. It made logical sense to me. I had been draped by Color Me Beautiful. But again, some of the colors looked good on me, others, I didn’t feel looked good on me at all. It was the same with their makeup colors. Some of their makeup colors looked horrible on me.
The quality of The Beauty Code makeup is a lot better [than Color Me Beautiful]. It is just such a complete system. It’s the first time I’ve had a whole line of makeup where I felt comfortable wearing all the colors and where I felt confident that they would look good on me. The colors all harmonize with each other. Many people commented on how much better I looked. And I looked more natural to myself. I don’t need to wear a lot of makeup now. Because it’s the right color, I get the right effect for me. It’s great. It doesn’t limit me at all. Its great to explore all the different colors that look good on me. I don’t waste my time. Whenever we go shopping, we take our Color Portfolio with us.
I knew at an early age that color made a difference. Because I was light blonde, I could see that some colors made me look alive, other colors would make me look dead. I’d get frustrated a lot when I’d go shopping, the style might look good but the colors would be wrong. It was the same thing with makeup, too. I’d go to the makeup counter and one consultant would say that one color would look good and then another consultant at another counter would tell me just the opposite. I didn’t feel confident in know the best colors so I wore many different colors depending on who was behind the color. Some people said I wore too much makeup but I’d put on more makeup because the colors weren’t working, I wasn’t getting the effects I wanted. Yet, my Dad would say I needed more makeup because my face was so pale. So some colors would brighten my face too much, some not enough.”

Hello! I’m a 73 year old African American woman. I appear to be younger than my age (people are surprised if I choose to share my age with them). I’m now using Clinique even better makeup SPF 15 (evens & corrects) #19 – Clove, along with their superbalanced powder makeup SPF 15, 08 natural 8 O/D). I use each sparingly, which I think leaves a nice effect. But, I often wonder if I’m applying all of my makeup correctly and if I can add further techniques that would be even more appealing. My skin is in the middle (oily/dry) and very few wrinkles. I would like to camouflage a bit of the “commas” and under-eye indentations. What suggestions can you give me? What color system would look good on me? My wardrobe consists of many different colors. I like color, as well as a black or brown outfit at times. Any suggestions/directions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
