In 5 years, it costs me less than 60 cents each time I wear it. If I’m still wearing it in 10 years, my cost per wearing is about 20 cents. Plus, every time I wear it I look and feel marvelous. I get compliments.
In doing wardrobe checks with clients, I learned that people love clothes that are right for them. They hold onto those clothes. I find them in the backs of closets and drawers, pulled from old boxes and trunks with the apology, “I don’t know why I hold onto this old thing.”
When I show them why it’s right for them in color and style, they know why they couldn’t throw it away. They felt wonderful whenever they wore it and they wanted to “keep” that feeling so they “kept” the clothing piece.
